Most recently, the new COO worked for a globally active logistics corporation as a general manager.
In view of his new role at the Osnabrück-based logistics service provider, the native of Lower Saxony is enthusiastic: “NOSTA Group has a very special family-like corporate culture that not only has a positive effect on internal cooperation. It is precisely this culture that has also created a customer-oriented focus when it comes to developing innovative and comprehensive services.” The new COO plans to further promote this service concept: “What particularly appeals to me about my new role is the prospect of aligning the product portfolio even more closely with the demands of our customers and further expanding it,” says Dodt.
In doing so, he has not only the German market in mind, but also the European market for contract logistics. Dodt has a solution-oriented approach to his new role: “I have always been fascinated by the process-driven way of thinking and working in contract logistics. Together with his new team, the COO will focus on this potential in order to offer the customers of the NOSTA Group precisely these solutions.
Dodt sees the future of contract logistics in the areas of sustainability, digitalization and automation. Above all, the efficient use of resource-saving technologies and artificial intelligence will play an important role in the future, in his view. The fact that many companies are further diversifying their supply chains and in some cases relocating production capacities back to Europe is also, according to Dodt, shaping the dynamics in the industry. He sees the focus here on flexible, customer-oriented solutions: “Companies expect their logistics service providers to continue to provide them with tailor-made and innovative offers that fit the requirements of their supply chain and also serve their customers in the best possible way. With NOSTA behind them, the Contract Logistics team can provide these solutions,” says Dodt.
