Dynamic growth and excellent products for a highly interesting market: things are going well for pet food manufacturer Pets Nature. So well, in fact, that the plant and warehouse had to be relocated to a new, larger site. A complex task that was successfully and efficiently implemented thanks to our expert support.
“A relocation during ongoing operations is a challenge for any company. The logistical processes in particular are under pressure during this phase,” says Matthias Tychsen, branch manager of the NOSTA site in Ladbergen. In this warehouse, Pets Nature GmbH occupies several thousand pallet spaces with pet food and pet supplies of highest quality. Up to 700 parcels per day are also dispatched here for eCommerce processing and fulfillment.
Keeping an Eye on the Entire Logistics Process
The partnership between the two companies was already firmly established before the move. David Bäuerle, COO of Pets Nature GmbH, shares this view: “We have been undergoing a dynamic growth process for several years. That's why we need a full-service logistics provider at our side who can work with us to proactively shape this positive development.” Pets Nature has found this partner in NOSTA Group.
During the relocation, it paid off that both sides knew exactly what each other's expectations and demands were. “ NOSTA Group took the entire process into account and ensured that customer orders could be processed without delay thanks to effective logistics management,” recalls Bäuerle. As a result, downtime was reduced to a minimum during the relocation.

To achieve this goal, there is close and cross-departmental cooperation at NOSTA Group. The Contract Logistics, eCommerce and Road business units jointly handle transport, storage, order picking and many other logistical steps for Pets Nature. It is also a great advantage for Tychsen and the team in Ladbergen that they have developed great expertise in pet logistics.

“We have established professional processes that are required by large pet supply chains and that also make our work for Pets Nature transparent,” says Matthias Tychsen. This also includes, for example, questions about proper disposal or pest control. “We keep a close eye on this and inform Pets Nature about these issues transparently and promptly.”
This goes down well with David Bäuerle: “We have fixed contacts at NOSTA Group who advise us on an equal footing and answer logistical questions competently. This transparency is a key value for us in our collaboration.” The warehouse location in Ladbergen is similarly important: “The location in the heart of Europe directly on the A1 highway fits very well into our network. Ladbergen also offers further development potential for everyone involved,” says a delighted David Bäuerle.
